The team slept in some this morning. Breakfast was at the nearby restaurant in this resort town of Furnace Creek deep in the
belly of Death Valley. We all hit the road with an immediate 3500-ft climb in the first 15-miles. This was the warmest day so far.
The terrain was spectacular with several scenic turnouts. Rob & Steve attacked that climb aggressively and arrived at
Armagosa Opera House before anyone else. The rest of the team staggered in. The important thing here is for those guys just
to get seat time. The rookies came on this trip unprepared, but this will get them going. The remaining 25-miles into Pahrump
was a slight climb and then a long 15-mile downhill. We could see Pahrump in the distance, but it took forever to get there. We
stayed overnight at the Best Western complete with hot tub and lounge restaurant. One more day to Las Vegas.
